Be Water-y

Can we all agree that air and water are basic fundamentals for life?

Air, our bodies magically intake and expel it.

Water, on the other hand, is a process that we ourselves need to choose to consume.

A choice.

A small daily choice.

A choice.

That can add up to a lot.

Living giving.

Nourishing.

Rejuvenating.

Water.

Here’s my question this morning: Why do someone people choose not to consume water?

<insert your personal excuses here>

Too busy.

Don’t like the taste.

I forget.

I don’t like buying water.

I don’t like drinking it warm.

These are the excuses I have personally heard. Any of these resonate for you?

As I walk with people on their health journeys to have more energy, shed some weight, perform better or age more youthfully, I always talk about water because most people are as dehydrated as the Arizona desert that I am currently visiting.   Most people don’t notice the incredible sources of water all around us, ready to be poured into our bodies.

I could go into the science behind our bodies and water.  I could tell you the percentage of water that makes up our bodies.  I could go on and on, but I won’t.

Here’s my heart for all people:

⭐️ Drink half your body weight in ounces every day.

⭐️ If you exercise, drink more.

⭐️ If you drink coffee, tea or any type of soda, drink more as well.

Keep putting deposits of water into your body through the day and watch the beautiful returns on your investment you will receive.

More energy.

Glowing skin.

Better poops.

Less smelly urine.

Happy cells.

Glorious you!

May you be filled to overflowing on this super duper Saturday.

Smooch 😘 Joanna

Be a Swim, Bike, Runner…

The beautiful summer days of adventure, creating, dreaming, reading, eating, movie watching as well as swim, bike and running followed by a fantastic Sun Rype buffet to finish it off.

A few weekends ago, our four, seven and nine year old boys embarked on an athletic event that is so delightful.  It took our youngest 8:49 to get to the Sun Rype buffet table where they can choose any Sun Rype products.  Our seven year old was 10:18 and our oldest zipped around the course in 21:07.   They had a fantastic morning!  Look at those medals too!  This kids triathlon knows how to create magical memories for kids!  And that is what our family is all about!

In spirit.

With intention.

In being.

Be Golfing and Hobbling Away on Mother’s Day

Golfing on Mother’s Day!  Yup, that’s what I chose.

It’s a comfortable place for me.

I had my high school graduation dinner at a golf course, my wedding rehearsal dinner, my grandfather’s ninetieth birthday party and many weekend meals.   I also spent a year trying to keep up to my amazing older cousins as a junior member!

Golf was my place for this mother’s day.

A place to laugh, wack a few balls, put a hole in one and just enjoy being outside and active with my boys.  Isn’t that the best place to be my fellow Mamas of active children?

After golf, I thought it would be a fabulous idea to try a new yoga class with my fellow triathlete competitor and Mama from last Sunday, Joan!

She may be cursing me now and I may not be able to walk tomorrow.  That seventy-five minute class was harder than my triathlon last week! I laughed all the way through class as I stretched and moved.  Anyone know the chair pose?  Try that one with a block between your thighs over twenty times!   I am laughing all the way to bed as I hobble there.  I may need help getting out of bed tomorrow!  Bahhhahha…

Happy Mother’s Day my beautiful friends!

May you continue to live life trying new things.

Outside your comfort zone.

Discovering new muscles in your body and mind.

Create space for new.

Enjoying the people that come across your path.

With smiles and joy.

Loving up those close peeps in your life!

Smooch, Joanna

Be Celebrating

Cancer teaches you how to celebrate.

Each drink of water.

Every step from the bed to the couch.

Celebrating a rub on my hand.

A nuzzle.

A twinkle in her eye.

A smile and a kiss from her lips.

Yes, cancer is the great teacher of celebration!

I have learned the lesson well.

Now I celebrate each conversation.

Send a card to celebrate a landmark in people’s lives.

Every night when my boys lie down to bed, I celebrate their days with them, nuzzle their necks, show them my twinkle for them and leave them with a smile and a kiss.

This last Saturday, we celebrated.

As a couple, as a family and as a business team!

Reaching a “Crystal” position.

We have put ourselves out there to share solutions we love.

Solutions around energy, performance, weight loss, healthy aging and wealth creation.

Solutions we believe can change lives.

Starting with us!

My boys told me that I am skinnier, kinder and that I have less vibration in my tummy!

My Sexy Neck told me that he can see my determination to reach my goals of helping people and that this is happening!

My CC told me that my pouchee tummy is gone!

I celebrate that I have something to give to the world!

I am no longer striving, I am just being.

Being me.

Doing what I love every day.

Connecting.

Coaching.

Conversing.

Being authentic.

Allowing people to be.

Celebrating!

Life!

Being!

Me!

Being who I have always dreamed that I could be!

Be Creating a Full Time Family

A family where we can choose to spend most of our time together.

A family where the children have equal time with both parents.

A family that can be full time living life together and part time at work.

My personal definition of a full time family.

A place where we choose our schedule and money is of no consequence.  (What is money anyways, but a concept of trading money for time.) We are working very hard, every day to create residual, freedom income.  Sexy Neck is working with a contractor to create a rental home on our property. I have launched a book into the world and I love coaching people using nutritional systems I love.  The company gives me rebates for supporting and loving people to reach their individual energy, performance, weight loss, healthy aging or even financial goals.

My dreams continue to become reality as Sexy Neck and I walked our boys to school together today.  As he is an educator with similar hours, I can count on two hands how many times he has been able to walk with us to school in the last four years.

I will hold to my full time family vision, not knowing ‘how’ it is going to unfold.   My mom’s death taught me that sometimes we can’t just figure things out, we must walk them out.

With excitement.

With gratitude for each day.

With moments like this.

As a full time family.

Be Sh*tty

Tonight, I sit and I ponder.

I stir things around.

In my mind.

In my spirit.

I allow the hamster wheel of thoughts go round and round.

I allow the thoughts to stop the wheel on “I feel sh*tty!”.

I am not one to swear, nor one to go towards the side of feeling sh*tty.

Tonight I do.

Feel.

Sh*tty.

I have a dear friend walking the same journey that I did two years ago.  After a hospital stay and doctors doing what they can to prolong life, my friend’s beautiful mama is going home to die.

I have one of my best peeps in KCity awaiting to see if she has cancer in her body.  She had a biopsy to have melanoma removed from her back last week.

I have a fellow volleyballers who’s servant-hearted Dad is living with Alzheimer’s.

There is a girl in the boys elementary school that starts life-saving, on your knees “hoping for a miracle” treatment for a brain tumour.  This sweet soul was also in Owen’s preschool last year.

My cousin is back in town from up north to have surgery, the second surgery in a few weeks.

And my three wee boys are under the weather.

So, what do I do?

I lean into the people who love me.

I spend time carving pumpkins.

I look at the beautiful autumn leaves.

I take a week off from my teaching job, to sit, to serve and to be.

An opportunity to be where I am.

Sitting with my feelings.

Feeling sh*tty.

With gratitude.

For all I can do.

All of my feelings.

Being a human being.

Be Grate-full

Overflowing with gratitude.

Pouring out with thankfulness.

Grate-full.

My heart and soul are full!

Thanksgiving full with nature, fabulous food, beautiful friends and my brood of boys.

Our traditions.

Our rhythm.

Our choices.

Our freedom.

His fullness.

Our Thanksgiving.

A gift that keeps on pouring as we continue into this week.

Grate-full for life.

Celebration.

God.
