Be Networking

WARNING: It has become very clear, I may need to put a caveat at the top of this post, but I am not going to because I truly feel I don’t need one.

You be the judge…

Three weeks ago, I didn’t know that network marketing was a dirty word for some people.

A trigger.

Words that make you turn and run.

A type of business that makes people start to ignore you.

My family and friends are very supportive of me and my goal to help others succeed in life, but many people aren’t a fan of the type of company I am choosing to partner with.

Growing up, I didn’t know anyone involved in network marketing.  I became exposed to it in University through my husband’s volleyball coach and Sexy Neck’s aunt and uncle but I didn’t really hear or know much about it!

I NEVER had a negative experience.

I NEVER had anyone harass me.

When I started my business five months after starting to use the products and the day after my mom’s birthday, I felt privileged to serve and help people with a product I loved.  I knew the product would sell itself.

My goals were simple with my new adventure:

Invest in myself.

Be vulnerable and share my journey.

Share tools that the company provides.

Create a connection between one of the many experts on my team.

See if this incredible solution based company that helps people have more energy, perform at a higher level, age well, lose weight or create wealth was for each UNIQUE human ‘being’ that crossed my path.

The VERY best thing about this company is that I got to stick in my heart because the company does all the ‘head’ stuff.

Connecting with people.

Listening to goals.

Walking with my ‘network’.

Letting the company do the ‘business stuff’.

Building websites for each associate.

Providing research.

Creating movies and podcasts.

Educating myself and anyone who wants to be.

I have the great privilege to CHOOSE who I work with every day.  And, if someone chooses to buy a product, I get a referral payment added onto a prepaid Visa.  Then, drum roll please, if that person refers someone, we both get a referral payment.

It is an incredible gift to be able to watch people reach their personal goals with this amazing company.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for this opportunity.

Network marketing is a tool to support  myself and others, not harass.

Working on myself.

Helping others.

Working with incredible people on my ever growing team.

Serving not selling.

Creating freedom income through products I love.

Be Starving Yourself

I was out walking the hills today with a protein shake in my hand in an area called the Cariboo, not the animal caribou, the region Cariboo.

I was looking at the dark green plants and the lush trees and then I got looking at the soil.  The soil looked rich, it looked vibrant. It was alive!

And then I realized that I have been starving myself, unknowingly for many years.

I didn’t feel rich.

I wasn’t vibrant.

Nor would I describe my energy level as alive.

Yes, I ate three square meals per day like my parents told me.

I ate fruit, vegetables, protein, grains, milk products and probably too many healthy fats.  (I love my nuts!)

I even would only eat three quarters of the bag of Costco chips and sometimes I would only sneak down and eat half of the leftover birthday cake.

I was never satisfied with what I was eating.

 I never felt full.

I never felt like I had enough.

I think I was literally starving myself.

Craving salt or other minerals.

Looking for protein in all sorts of sources.

Seeking vitamins but forgetting to take my vitamins.

 DRUM ROLL PLEASE…

Enter into my life a protein shake product that has whey from New Zealand cows that are grass fed and get milked when they want to be.

STOP THE PRESS those OTHER protein shakes or milk products I was consuming may have been made with cows that are injected with antibiotics because of the feed lots that they live in and get stuffed with growth hormone because they don’t produce milk when they are scheduled.

DUDE… Antibiotics, growth hormone, my body was hurting for certain.

 BUT, back to the shakes.

I LOVE THESE SHAKES!

Can you feel the excitement?

 I feel full.

I love the taste.

I feel satisfied.

I have energy.

 I can do ANYTHING!

I did my first triathlon just over a week ago after consuming a shake.  I played competitive volleyball for TEN YEARS and never felt as good as I did during these two hours swimming, biking and running twenty years AFTER my retirement from volleyball.

I am no longer starving my body, my mind or even my spirit.

Full of gratitude for ALL that I can do.

Overflowing with blessings because of this product that has enriched my life in so many ways.

 Come watch the journey unfold.

This post is dedicated to my unfolding team: Krista, Tony, Colette, Sarah, Robyn, Joan, Kim and of course my Sexy Neck husband.

Be Having Fat

I had to share this quote that I came across a few months ago. It has greatly encouraged me as I have set some health goals to ‘be able to keep up to my boys.” This has meant that I want to shed a few pounds. Have you felt ten pounds of butter?

Ten more pounds to be light (and unfortunately I can’t get this in a bottle like my hair colour!) and running alongside my boys.

May this quote encourage you on your journey.

One unconscious belief.

Shattered.

One conscious thought.

Replaced.

One mouthful.

At a time.

One workout.

Every day.

Let’s go TEAM LIGHT!

Be Rolling, Jumping and Balancing

What do you personally think every human being should know or be able to do?

For Sexy Neck and I, we believe it is essential that our boys learn how to move their bodies safely.

Thus, gymnastics is a priority for our schedule and our budget.

Man, it isn’t cheap!

As we move into our winter activities, we say goodbye to our autumn gymnastics class.

Thank you for teaching our boys to balance, hop and roll.

I wonder if we made gymnastics mandatory for us all, what would our Western-living lives look like?IMG_7482

Be Out of My Mind

Two different antibiotics sit on the counter.

Two more antibiotic creams.

Echinacea and cold remedy bottles.

Plus vitamin C and D to round out the counter display.

And I only have three children!

I have an embroidery guy that promised me shirts last Friday who didn’t even have the shirts started today.

And today I have my oldest say that he thinks our dog “is feeling something, maybe sad!” Yup, he’s right. She has hurt her leg.

My middle son, sadly, lost his very best pair of ski gloves.  We spent time searching the playground and the school lost and found, but to now avail.  But I have one very sad little boy.

AND NOW….

In thirty-six hours, I am going to be fortunate to share GreenTeaHAWAII in Vtown’s hockey arena, where I used to live.

Trying to coordinate mommy going to ‘work’ for two whole days and evenings has taken a small army of help to coordinate.

I can’t comprehend my mindset.

Health issues.

Daily routine.

Special request.

Lost items.

Unwell dog.

Trying to prepare to do something for the FIRST time.

And I am not even freaking out.

I feel peace.

I feel gratitude.

I see such beauty around me.

(Even driving down the road.)

Amidst the messiness of daily life,

I feel great love for all that I have, all that I can do, my given family, my chosen family, my community and my God.

We are living in a fear-filled, chaotic time.

But, I see beauty everywhere.

I feel overflowing waves of gratitude EVERY day, all day.

Maybe I am out of my mind!

Be at Hocketown

We had a hockey festival come to town. IMG_7098.JPGFree jerseys, toques and mittens. IMG_7100.JPGRoad hockey, air hockey and hockey shots.

IMG_7101.JPGRon McLean, mascots and local hockey stars.

IMG_7099.JPGI felt chills as I watched people watching hockey.

The spirit of hockey is so much more than just a sport.

Hockey is woven through our communities through shared time, fun rivalry and good old Tim Horton’s.

Thank you hockey for coming to town…
